Over the weekend, we launched one of our most ambitious and exciting DistillerSR releases yet. You’ve probably noticed that the look and feel of DistillerSR has changed, and in this post, we’re going to give you a run-down of all the updates we’ve made to DistillerSR:
New User Experience
This is the most noticeable change to DistillerSR. The fresh new look will help users navigate the platform more efficiently. We’ve made the menus more intuitive and re-designed DistillerSR to help users complete more tasks with fewer clicks. But don’t worry! DistillerSR might have a new look, but all of your projects and data are still there as you left them.

DAISY 2.0
Our “DistillerSR Artificial Intelligence System” (DAISY) is one of the most innovative upgrades in the new release. With the next generation of DistillerSR’s AI functionality, users can create, apply, and reuse custom classifiers across projects.
This is a huge step forward in our advanced AI technology because it enables users to “train” DAISY across multiple projects. The original DistillerAI Toolkit can only be trained within one project. The ability to save and reuse classifiers will save significant time and will help make DAISY even more adept at acting as a second screener in all of your work.
Full-Text Retrieval
We’ve been talking a lot about full-text procurement lately, and for a good reason. Automated full-text retrieval is an exciting feature that will help researchers save hours in their systematic reviews.
With the simple click of a button, DistillerSR will search PubMed Central for full-text documents associated with references in your project, and automatically attach them to their associated references. Because it works in the background and notifies users when complete, this feature offers significant time-cost savings. Imagine having DistillerSR find hundreds of full-text documents for you, all while you’re finishing your title and abstract screening. What are you going to do with all that extra time?

Project Folders
Organizing projects into folders is going to be a dream for those who love order! It will also be an essential feature to help organizations that have numerous projects. Simply drag and drop your projects into folders to help keep track of related work and save time navigating the platform.
Import/Export
We’ve added a new import/export option to DistillerSR. The platform now recognizes JSON files. What does this mean for you? JSON files can be used to transfer hierarchical data. By integrating this format into DistillerSR, organizations can now share references and their response sets across projects and into third-party applications.
